Pack up your guitars, banjos and fiddles and head on down to the Woody Guthrie Center for a Hootenanny. During the First Friday Art Crawl on July 7, we’ll be celebrating Woody Guthrie’s 111th birthday in style (Woody was born on July 14, 1912). Local musicians Finnegans Awake will be hosting the event and leading the hoot with folk classics from Woody Guthrie, Tom Paxton, John Prine and more.
Musicians interested in participating in the hootenanny should email qjohnson@woodyguthriecenter.org to sign-up.
